This plan helps NDIS providers and SCHADS employers in Wollongong and Illawarra to prepare for a performance review.

Step 1: Preparing for the Performance review meeting.

Before the performance discussion, the plan should record:

  • The employee’s performance goals for this cycle and the managers believe the employee has performed against established goals.
  • What the employee has done well.
  • What the employee could do better.

Step 2: Discussion in the performance review meeting

The Manager should give feedback to the employee on what the employee has done well and could do better.

  • How the employee thinks they have performed against goals.
  • Any feedback or concerns the employee has.
  • A discussion about the employee’s career goals or future within your business.
  • Set the goals you and the employee agree on for the next performance cycle in writing and give the employees a copy of the goals after the meeting.

Outline the business’s support to help the employee meet their goals, such as training.

Step 3: The plan should record

  • What has the employee done well?
  • What do the employers consider the employee could do better?
  • How does the employee believe he/she could have performed against each of their goals?
  • Does your employee have any feedback or concerns?
  • Discuss the employee’s career goals and future with the business.
  • Set the employee’s performance goals for the next performance cycle.
  • What support can the business provide your employees to help them reach their goals?
  • Set the meeting dates for the review of the performance goals or supervision sessions.
